THE BUYER’S HOME INSPECTION: Home inspections are a visual examination of all the readily-accessible areas of the home to provide a non-alarming, accurate evaluation of the home’s condition at the time of the inspection. Home inspections are designed to disclose defects in the property that could materially affect its safety, livability, or resale value. They are not meant to disclose cosmetic defects, although we will discuss them with you at the time of the walkthrough, as such. The evaluation is presented to the buyer in a comprehensive report with any recommendations for maintenance, and any repairs needed. Buyers are fully informed of the home’s condition prior to purchase.
THE SELLER’S PRE-LISTING HOME INSPECTION Getting your home inspected before putting it on the market has several advantages –  It gives you the opportunity to adjust your asking price to a more realistic figure.
